ABSTRACT - Lydia del Rossi started CrimeBite Ltd out of her Aiken home in 1996. Since 1996 the business has grown to national status. Most recently one of CrimeBite's customers Carlyle & Co. saved $600,00 in fraud costs by using the CrimeBite Authentiprint System. The CrimeBite Authentiprint system use special stickers to chemically capture fingerprints to help prevent check and credit card fraud. CrimeBite currently serves 4000 clients in 27 states and continues to grow. Lydia del Rossi said that CrimeBite has assisted in more than 900 criminal convictions and broke up a crime ring in Orlando, Florida and Raleigh, North Carolina. Lydia del Rossi said that the fingerprint and DNA are irrefutable pieces of evidence when seeking convictions. Ms. del Rossi also said "I may sound cocky, but I believe we are the only people out there fighting ID theft at the point of transaction."
